“When you wash your hands, when you make a cup of coffee, when you’re waiting for the elevator – instead of indulging in thinking, these are all opportunities for being there as a still, alert presence.”
— Eckhart Tolle
This past week I started listening to videos by Eckhart Tolle. I heard of him before, but never really checked him out… turns out he’s a pretty humorous guy and a deep thinker/philosopher.
I found this video today, thinking it was an actual “meditation” but it turned out to be a dharma talk about meditation, consciousness and how we not only distract ourselves with mindless chatter inside our heads, but it is now amplified with our “tech toys.”
See what you think…
Eckhart Tolle has been popular for a few years now, but it is only recently that I started listening to his lectures. I still haven’t read his book, The Power of Now but it is on my list.
Hope your Sunday is peaceful and you are experiencing the “fullness of life.”
